Course content
Friday evening:
- getting to know each other, exchanging ideas, wishes .... all during a meal together in the PKH restaurant
Saturday:
- theory and dry practice: Basics of paddling technique, especially biomechanics and hydrodynamics
- historical History and Development of the Greenland Paddle
- introduction to the different Greenland paddle shapes and finding the individually suitable paddle
- exercises for the individual phases of the forward stroke, traction to the boat, active sitting, edging and leaning as well as CtoC and support and steering strokes.
- wet practice with final video analysis
Sunday:
- small paddling tour together including a paddle test
- fine-tuning of paddling techniques
- individual feedback
Requirements
- safe swimming in paddle gear
- safe underwater exit with spray deck without outside help
- basic paddling experiences
